ESKA 2017 – Results

The European Shotokan Karate Association hosted its 32nd European Championships in Portugal on the weekend of 24th and 25th November. Coming shortly after the recent World Championships, the ESKA 2017 meant another chance for medals for two of our Malvern members and again we are pleased to say after some very hard fought events, they both came away with medals! Well down to Libby Bayley and Aidan McLean on their performances and also to their respective England team mates!

As always, we would also like to congratulate all the competitors in team England. #KUGBFamily

Medals:

  • 2nd – Aidan McLean – in the Junior Male Team Kumite – alongside team mates Ethan Armstrong, Ryan Spencer and Bradley Williams.
  • 3rd – Libby Bayley – Cadet Ladies Team Kumite – alongside team mates Katherine Cheshire and Thea Priest.
